PREVI is the main asset of working and retired employees of Banco do Brasil. In 2004 we celebrated the company’s first 100th anniversary. The challenge now is to prepare PREVI for the next generations. From our side, we have been dedicating all of our efforts to the preservation of assets that ensure the retirement pensions and funds of our associates and their families.

For the second consecutive year, the company has achieved a surplus result. PREVI has been gathering new and improved control tools that will grant more transparency to the administration, and security to the associates. With regards to investments, the Conselho Monetário Nacional (National Monetary Council) has approved our Conformity Plan as well as the restructuring of the affiliated companies that were not performing as expected.

Without overlooking our commitment to assets' preservation, we have worked towards addressing some of our associates’ requests, as for instance the changes on the Carteira Imobiliária (Real Estate Portfolio). Other relevant themes according to associates, like Parcela PREVI , Statute Reform and the Reopening of Carim, already addressed on this administration, shall be prioritized throughout 2005.

All of the above make us feel certain that we have been fulfilling our duty of guiding PREVI into the challenges of the future. We have prepared the Institution to continue being a source of pride and joy for the employees of Banco do Brasil and their families.
