Contributions were reduced

Another measure that benefited the associates was the 40% reduction of the contributions. The initiative was only possible due to the good results obtained during the last fiscal years. The reduction in contributions is a benefit that positively and directly affects the pockets of the associate every month. In the same manner, the Banco do Brasil also reduced its contribution to Plan 1.

The reduction of the contribution value does not reduce the benefit amount to be received in the future. Resources from the Special Reserve for Plan Review were used to reduce the contributions without affecting the benefit.

The surplus presented in 2005 was sufficient to reduce the contributions without affecting the future benefit.
