Vale do Rio Doce buys Inco

Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) acquired the stock control of the Canadian nickel producing company Inco. With this acquisition, it is now the second largest mining company in the world, positioned after the Anglo-Australian company BHP Billiton. PREVI's participation is of 14.9% in CVRD's total capital stock, a company that has accumulated excellent results over the last few years.
