In an event held at the headquarters of the New York Stock Exchange, on April 27, PREVI adhered to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). PREVI was the only institution in Latin America to participate in the elaboration of the Principles and the first Latin American signatory.

The PRI was released in Brazil in May, at a ceremony at the headquarters of Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development (FBDS). The Chief Executive Officer, Sérgio Rosa, and the other PREVI officers were present. The document contains responsible practices to be observed in the analysis and evaluation of the businesses. Following the idea of diffusion of these values, a presentation about the Principles was accomplished at the Meeting of Directors 2006, which gathered directors elected by PREVI for participating companies.
