Fixed Income
The Fixed Income segment reached the profitability of 17.18 %* in 2007. Such index exceeds that of the principal benchmark of the Fixed Market, the Selic Average Rate (TMS), which was 11.88 %.
The Fixed Income segment of Plano 1is composed of several types of securities, all presenting a low risk. Nearly one half of the portfolio contains securities indexed to inflation rates and with longer maturity dates, that helps to shield that plan in the future and guarantee a profitability compatible with our liabilities. Other part of the portfolio is composed by securities available for negotiation, where its management endeavors to follow the market trends and looks for appreciation opportunities.
