Plan 1 - assets show growth even after having paid a record amount in benefits
Growth in the assets of Plan 1 is even more meaningful when we take into account the following considerations:
a) There are no new incomers;
b) There are no further contributions from participants and sponsor;
c) This Plan has paid out close to 5, 3 billion during the year.
Therefore, growth is due to profitability of investments that made it possible to pay all expenses of the Plan and still accumulate reserves.
PREVI Futuro - moving towards its first R$ billion
Growth of Plano PREVI Futuro between 2006 and 2007 was of 43, 65 %, an accumulated increase of 1,012 % since 2002. Certainly this Plan will exceed 1 billion in 2008. Growth in PREVI Futuro assets occurs thanks to the accumulation of staff and employer's contributions and of the income from investment in existing assets.
