Previ is closer and closer to you

At PREVI, to be always close to participants is so important as to manage well its resources. Through the Central de Atendimento (Service Center), via telephone, letter or e-mail, communication between the participants and PREVI is always open.

In 2007, PREVI received nearly 2, 3 million consultations from its members. Through its Centrais de Atendimento, PREVI endeavored to answer timely and clearly.

New technological facilities

In 2007, a series of new services in the site were implemented. The trend is to consolidate that channel as the main one in the relationship of PREVI with its participants. In that sense we can highlight the new tools available for Capec, for Real Estate Loans and for Simple Loans.

The "oTimizar" project was initiated in 2007, for the purpose of preparing the Information Technology to cope with the great PREVI goals for the coming years. It will be, therefore, necessary to adopt the best leading edge technologies together with modern managerial practices.

Training and a quick responding structure

2007 was also noteworthy due to the reformulation of certain PREVI areas, always with a view of increasing the velocity and efficiency of our procedures. To do that, specific teams were set up to follow closely each segment of the companies in which we have an interest - whether with or without stock capital control - besides segregating the procedures in real estate investment by means of separating the steps of pre-evaluation and negotiation.

During 2007, PREVI dedicated six thousand hours to training its collaborators through more than 300 technical courses. Such courses intend to improve our services to the participators, by means of a technical refinement in the management of investments, finances, Pension Plans, actuarial sciences, bookkeeping and controlling management. Total investment in Training and Development reached close to R$ 285 thousand.

Focusing in Corporative Governing

The role of pension funds in the economy was the main topic in the meeting celebrated by PREVI's boards members in Costa do Sauípe, last June. That meeting counted with the presence of the English economist David Pitt-Watson, author of books and studies with an international impact. Pitt-Watson sustains the thesis that the participants of those funds are indirect proprietors of the companies in which those institutions invest. Thus, they have the legitimacy to ask from those outfits attitudes with not only aimed at economic objectives, but also to principles related to the protection of the environment and the well being of society.

On that occasion, Pitt-Watson classified as "exemplary" PREVI's initiative of celebrating that meeting with Board Members. To him, "a meeting with over 200 board members to discuss corporate governing in the companies is an initiative that should be copied by other countries". Management actions by PREVI in the participated companies have contributed to consolidate corporate governing practices in this country:

  • dialoguing with Bovespa to perfect the listing regulations in the special negotiation segments (Level 1, Level 2 and New Market);
  • an increase in the volume of dividends by companies that produce a strong cash generation;
  • participation in 183 Shareholder's General Meetings in companies in which PREVI participates;
  • incentives to migrate from other companies to those listed in Bovespa's special segments;
  • filing a formal complaint at the Stock Exchange Commission for the purpose of obliging a company in which PREVI participates to appoint representatives to the Fiscal Board.
  • technical visits to 18 companies in which investments were made by PREVI.

 

Great companies are included in the Discount Club

Cônsul, Chevrolet and Sony are among the advertisers that appear in the "Espelho" (the statement sent to all PREVI participators. Those ads announce special discounts granted by those companies to them. Besides the "Espelho", the participators count also with PREVI's Benefit Club Card. All members have the PREVI Card and enjoy special discounts in more than 200 stores throughout Brazil. The complete list of companies included in that Club can be found in PREVI's site.
