SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
In the past few years, PREVI has adopted several socio-environmental responsibility actions. For this reason, the Executive Board started a process to define the Socio-Environmental Responsibility Policy (RSA) of PREVI. The Executive Board approved the guidelines for the formulation of this Policy. The document includes the coverage and the reasons for the adoption of the RSA Policy.
In the country, PREVI is one of the first signatories of the Project of Information about the Emission of Greenhouse Effect Gases or Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). This project reflects the world concern about the health of our planet and currently involves nearly 2,100 companies throughout the world. It was formalized in a collective requirement formulated by a group of 149 institutional investors, responsible for the administration of assets estimated at US$ 20 trillion. The first research about the policies and strategies adopted by Brazilian companies in relation to carbon emissions and climatic changes was published here in Brazil. The work is part of the CDP project (http://www.cdproject.net) and is sponsored by Abrapp and supported by various institutions, among which is PREVI.
